Updated the list again. Unfortunately, I didn’t accomplish nearly as much as I would have hoped. I’m thinking I should have started much smaller…aimed for a 2 month list or something.
Well, I’ll at least get on with a couple other items on the list. Polling friends for movies and books that I should read. So…
Please Add a Comment and let me know your favorite book and movie and my goal is to get through at least 10 of each by my deadline. Maybe I’ll get lucky and have read some of those suggested.
Simeon Stuff
6 month check up last night. Still hard to believe he’s 6 months already. Didn’t grow as much as I would have hoped…14lbs 10oz and 2’2″. Lucky for us, the immunizations helped him sleep. After a couple stops, we wound up getting home around 8:30 and he had been asleep in the car. Didn’t wake until 4:15 at which point he was fed and diapered. He was back to sleep 30 minutes later and didn’t wake again until 6:45.
Heh, I caught a glimpse of the number staring at me on my blog today and began to panick! 800 and something days left, that’s all? Ack! I’ll never finish these things, why did I decide to do this??? Panick!!! I did eventually chill, before I ditched the whole idea. 800 plus days is a long time.
I have a hard time with favorites. Particularly books because I love all genres. You can look at my book blog and click the "favorites" category to see some that I’ve blogged about lately if that helps.
Favorite movies is almost as hard … Bringing up Baby, Drop Dead Fred, Jesus Christ Superstar are three that a lot of people say they have never heard of but hit my favorites lists all of the time.
Good luck!

Ok, lets see, it’s been a while since I’ve seen any movies or made it thru a book myself, but I’ll give you a few that are on my "to do" list… Guess you should have mentioned this while you were in KC, we both could have crossed a few things off our lists!
Movies – Prime with Meryl Streep, but I’ve come to the conclusion that it must a lot better if you’re Jewish (Jews found it very funny, my Morman friends did not like it at all!) I bought the DVD, so I’ll let you know my real opinion if I ever get around to watching it. Now that I’m thinking about it, I should take it with me to Detroit this weekend and watch it during the layover.
Books – ok, books on CD count right? I recommend DaVinci Code, I listened to it on CD (I think it was 14 CDs!) and really enjoyed it, in fact I would sit in the car way longer than necessary just to hear more! And then you can go see the movie, it’s coming out sometime soon.
How’s that? Good Luck! – Jen

I have a very hard time deciding on the book/movie thing. Two that would definitely be up there are "To Kill a Mockingbird" (book/movie) and "Rebecca" (movie). I would love to know what the list of suggestions looks like when you’re done.

I’d recommend books by Naomi Ragen. I went through all of her books last year, and they were all good.
movies – don’t know. haven’t seen too many of those in the last 5 years.
Do you want comments on your blog? I haven’t written any because no one else seems to. but if you want…I’ve got tons to say about babies 🙂
and I’d say something to the daycare about the spikey hair. If not to the teacher, then to the director. They have no way of knowing what a baby could be allergic to, and putting goop in a baby’s hair without permission just sounds wrong to me.
