Piya's Perspective

Between a busy week and not having access the one day I had time to write, I haven’t yet had a chance to say how Mother’s Day went.

It was wonderful!

Ari made me a omelet in the morning, and after talking to family, we lounged around for a bit playing a video game.  We wound up playing a little longer than expected, and then it takes a bit for us to get out of the door, so we wound up not having time for the hike we planned to do.  Instead, we ran a couple errands and then headed over to M & A’s for a barbeque.

I can’t thank M & A enough for inviting us to spend Mother’s day with A’s family.  We had a wonderful time.  We ate, we watched A’s nieces play and even get bribed into doing some weeding, walked to a nearby park and all-in-all had a really nice time.

I have a feeling Ari didn’t have much planned otherwise, but he not only accepted the wonderful invitation, he gave up a gorgeous day of bicycling to spend the day with me.  I couldn’t have asked for a better first mother’s day.

To all the other Mom’s out there…it’s a bit late, but hope you had a wonderful Mother’s day.
